Wow! It's been a while, hasn't it?! Wonder if anyone out there has noticed?! Anyway, I'm trying to get back into the writing routine, so this is a good place to start. I suppose I've been spending more time with my 'personal' journal these days, the good old pen and paper version. But it will be nice to get back to this old friend as well...

I could fill a book writing about the past month. Went to Texas for a friend's wedding in Fort Worth, visited cousins in Oklahoma on the way down and back, stayed 2 weeks with my folks in Alvin... Overall it was a good trip, but I came home early as I wasn't looking forward to the holidays and just wanted to 'hole up.' Which I did. Also had been having some trouble with my cats and wanted to check in on them...just wanted to be 'home' really, even though sometimes 'home' is a hard place to be right now. But I'm back, and trying to get into the swing of a new year and a new life. It is what it is...

The B&B has been way too quiet lately with the economy what it is. I can only pray that it picks up in the next couple of months. It's a BIG house payment to make without paying guests. Plus, it's way too quiet here without them. The weather is cold and gray which doesn't help the disposition much, but I have my OTT light and I'm keeping it on me full force lately!

Guess that's enough for one day...not much of interest, but hopefully that will change eventually.
