Around the County

  • Mood:
  • Fictions: The Quilter's Legacy
I spent the day visiting various flea markets, garage sales, thrift stores, and antique malls around Callaway and Cole counties! Overall I enjoyed it, except for the fact that it's amazingly HOT for October and I felt pretty slimy by the time the day was finished! Yuk! I did find some new stuff for my booth, which I checked in on as well, and found I'd made another $35. If I can make that much every week, I'll make $140 a month, which isn't too bad after the $50 rental fee. Unless I spend it--which I did today, when my friend, who just opened a booth herself, put something in it I really wanted! Still, it was a bargain--for only $35 a neat display case with an old fan, purse, gloves, etc., which I may change up a bit and also add some buttons. In the meantime it gets stored in my office, which is started to show signs of being a storage facility! Anyway, I'm having fun with it...

That's pretty much it for my day. We ordered Chinese take-out tonight, and we'll spend it watching more Babylon 5. Season 4 is really good--I can't imagine how they'll drag it out for another season, and I've seen it. So much for my memory...

Hope you're enjoying your weekend, and that it's cooler than mine is!!
