I'm still on my trip, which is really no excuse for not writing, but I just haven't been much in the mood...long story. Overall, the trip has been ok. I visited with some relatives on the way down in Oklahoma, and then had a nice time with my parents. My mom, sister and I took a little trip up to Spring on Friday--it's a neat little village and we had lunch and did some shopping there. I always enjoy catching up with my sister and her family, and also got to visit with my little niece a bit. She's almost 2 and very cute.

I left Alvin today and met up with my son in New Braunfels. We went over to Gruene for lunch and ate in a river cafe. The town has grown up so much I could hardly believe it. All the little shops are the same, but the surrounding area has so many houses it's almost part of New Braunfels. In fact, everthing from Georgetown to San Antonio is almost filled in with people now. Amazing...still, if I ever came back to Texas, it's the only area where I'd want to live. But while it's difficult being so far from family I sure don't really want to live in Texas again.

Anyway, tomorrow night is my book signing, then after lunch with some friends on Wednesday, I'm heading home. There'll be a lot to deal with once I get there.
