A Belated Merry Christmas...

  • Fictions: Interpretation of Murder by Jed Rubenfeld
In spite of everything, Jim and I really did have a very nice Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve visiting friends and going to a local church service, then had a quiet intimate evening at home. On Christmas, we had breakfast and then I made my special holiday orange juice and ice cream drink, then we opened presents. After that we had lunch with some friends--a delightful meal--and then went to see National Treasure. We came home later and watched Factory Girl, interesting movie about Andy Warhol and Edie Strickland, his muse from the 60s. Sort of sad, actually... Anyway, that pretty much sums up my day!

Back to business as usual today, but since I'm taking on more B&B work, I spent most of the day dealing with a problem with our credit card machine, which still isn't resolved... Got an estimate on redoing our floors, and spent a bunch of time doing other odds and ends. This evening, I've just cleared about 250 emails from my inbox--yuk! It' took almost 2 hours!! I really shouldn't let them pile up like that, but I put them aside and next thing you know...

I've been luckily avoiding jury duty all week, and hopefully won't have it Friday either. I've got so much to do, and a wedding reception coming up this weekend. Very busy, and January is going to be a hellish month with editing work... Big project that needs to be finished by the end of the month... Not sure how I'm going to get it all done... Anyway, that's the latest for me!
