I can't believe I finally made Journal of the Week with Bravenet--I've had this journal for about 4 years I think! Still, better late than never, right?!! I thought I'd blog early since yesterday's blog was so BORING that I can't believe I'd get picked for anything, unless it's for persistence! All round I should get an A++ for that! Anyway, a big THANK YOU to Bravenet for the little Monday perk!
I'm struggling to get back into the swing of things from my trip, knowing that another trip is on the horizon in barely a week. I've got a ton of stuff to get done before then, that's for sure, then once we return it'll be almost time for Christmas. Luckily most of my shopping has been done, and I gave my family their stuff when I visited over Thanksgiving. So I don't have a lot to do, but some.
Mostly it's getting a couple of work projects out the door before I leave, and making sure all is in place for the Celia commemoration when I return. (Celia is a slave who was executed here in 1855, and we hold a ceremony and a candlelight vigil for her each year. This year we have Narissa Bond, a fabulous folk singer, coming in. She even wrote a song about Celia!)
Guess for the moment that's it for me. I'm off to a meeting shortly, so better go put some shoes on!
