I always debate as to how personal I should be on this blog--as surely as I say something I don't think anyone will read, someone reads it and--bam!--I'm in trouble! But I feel that I want to put something personal out into the virtual world and ask for people to say a prayer in whatever their belief system. Last week my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. They seem to have caught it in early stages, but there are still decisions to be made about surgery and treatment options. I know the waiting must be hell on her, as it is on all of us, but I suspect there's a lesson about acceptance and waiting with patience in these things. My grandmother had breast cancer, and she survived it, though she did eventually die for cancer years later. My mother is a person of great faith, and she has a wonderful attitude, so that's a plus in her favor. Still, it's a serious, serious thing and hard not to worry. So, if you have had some experience with this, and care to drop me a note, I'd sure appreciate any thoughts, whether you and I know each other or not. In the meantime, thanks for reading...
